Light-Weight Concrete

AireX

AireX is a cement based light-weight insulative concrete, developed by Abeo A/S.

AireX is produced from a foam infused concrete slurry with specially designed chemical additives, resulting in weight/strength ratios similar to or better than AAC blocks.

AireX can be produced on stationary or mobile concrete mixing plants and does not require autoclaving or heated curing.

Abeo A/S delivers turn-key stationary AireX plants for precasters. We work with both greenfield projects and upgrades of existing production lines.

Due to the wet cast production method, AireX can be reinforced using both steel and PP fibers for handling and improved tensile strength.

Density

Typical densities range from 150‐750 kg/m3

Compressive strengths of 0,1‐6MPa

Insulative values of ʎ 0,05‐0,21 W/mK

Precast Concrete Applications

Products and uses in precast.

AireX™ is suitable for large piece precasting of low weight and low-cost wall panels. The production setup is simple and can be implemented in existing precast factories. Equipment costs are low and existing factory forms can often be used. Surfaces are paint ready wet cast and smooth – no plastering is needed on site.

AireX Mobile

Abeo A/S offers mobile plants for on-site production and casting of AireX light-weight concrete.

The mobile AireX plants are available as 20ft or 40ft container frame versions and able to be placed stationary or fitted on an std. flatbed truck.

The mobile plants are delivered as complete turnkey systems and include:

  • Complete mixing plant 20-30m3/hour

  • AireX foam infusing technology

  • Cement hopper

  • The 40ft versions include an on-truck cement silo with up to 17t capacity.

  • Chemical additives and water tanks

  • Diesel generator

  • Automation and touch screen control

  • Pump and hose for on-site distribution

Cement

The AireX mobile plants can be loaded with cement from:

  • Cement silo trucks
  • Vertical silos via screw conveyor
  • Big bags
  • Small bags

Low weight composite slabs

  • Replacing 252kg/m2 of traditional heavy concrete steel composite slab topping with 52kg of AireX
  • Saves 200kg/m2 of materials and significantly reduces the cost of the supporting steel structure
  • Fiber reinforcement increases the tensile strength of the concrete
  • Traditional steel reinforcement can be left out
  • The floor is dry and ready for the next process after 24 hours
