Innovest

When the development park, Innovest, is completed in February 2015, it will be home to Ringkøbing-Skjern Utility Company, but the building will also function as an innovation center with facilities for both education purposes and entrepreneurship.

The building was designed by Årstiderne Architects, who were inspired by the curved course of Skjern creek located just next to the project. As a result, the house is designed as a large circle with a green ramp leading up to the roof.

The circular design of the building was one of the reasons why the contractor chose to use triangular SL-decks for the floor structure eliminating all on-site casting. In addition, a number of time-saving solutions were integrated in the SL-decks, e.g. cast-in edge reinforcement and cast-in sleeves for safety guards, making it possible to attach safety guards to the slabs before lifting.
