When the apartments at Krøyers Square are completed in 2015, it will be on one of the most centrally located and interesting sites in Copenhagen. The apartments will be located end to end with 300 years old warehouses and right next to the habour front, just a stone’s throw from the opera house.
NCC Housing and NCC Construction are behind the construction of the project which includes a total of 3 buildings. The first building is almost completed, but for the last two, NCC has chosen to switch to SL-Decks. This is due to among others reduced buildings costs and the possibility to significantly reduce construction time.
”With the SL-Deck, we’ve got a precast element that gathers more solutions in one slab. The light steel slabs and beams can be eliminated and at the same time, mounting of balconies and facades becomes much easier. Casting of the perimeter reinforcement is also integrated in the delivered slab solution and saves us for a process, which is very inconvenient in relation to the work environment. This significantly simplifies the installation, and we now believe that we are able to construct the apartments on time with significantly improved safety conditions,”says project leader from NCC, Klaus Iversen.
