4 hours fire resistance

With a proven fire resistance of minimum 4 hours, the SL-deck is the most fire resistant precast slab system in the world. The slab fulfills even the strictest requirements without the use of fire insulation boards or other fire protective measures.

The SL-deck’s high fire resistance is a result of the slab design itself, where the prestressed strands are protected by an insulating and fire resistant layer of lightweight concrete. The lightweight concrete mainly consists of expanded clay aggregates that are literally ”born” in fire, as it is produced in ovens at app. 1,200 degrees celcius.
