Strengthening the product portfolio

The precast concrete market is fragmented and made up by many regional/local producers. Historically, these producers have lacked both the resources and incentives to invest heavily in own R&D activities.

There is thus a rationale for a few specialized companies to invest in research and development of new innovative solutions for the precast industry and license the successful results to producers with a strong local market presence.

In order to reach foreign markets, Abeo licenses the SL-Deck to producers outside Denmark. For a precaster, this model makes it possible to tap into proven technology and strengthen the product portfolio compared to competitors producing mainly generic products.

The license model is based on each party focusing on their core competencies. Abeo provides licensees with a complete license package containing everything needed in order to produce, sell and market the SL-Deck enabling each producer to produce and sell the product alongside their existing range of precast concrete products.
